This last weekend Senshi-Con took place where we were asked to provide networking and internet connectivity. We took care of wiring up the switches, providing the router, troubleshooting connectivity problems and fixing issues as they arise. I am happy to say it was a huge success. The only downtime we had is when the GCI went down for about 2 minutes. Luckily it was between matches and the down time was minimal. We used about 90GB of data the first day and about 40GB the second. We supported around 75 people all together and was able to support all the clients on one GCI Red Modem that GCI generously provided us for the weekend. The whole experience was really great and any issues was able to be solved fast I look forward to volunteering my time and equipment next year to help make Senshi-Con as successful as I can.

I believe this was a huge step forward for Warehouse 49 in getting our foot in the door to host lan parties in the future. I am working on getting gear together to be able to host medium sized lan parties and if that becomes successful I will get more gear. Nothing like seeing so many people together for an event and having a good time.

I saw plenty of opportunity to improve this year and will make sure that those things I saw get corrected for next year. Honestly though there was not a terribly large amount of things that needed major improves.

Mobile Friendly!

Over the weekend the site went mobile friendly. I think it was the second suggestion Reddit had when I told them about my idea. So I hope this shows I am listening. There is a few issues that I need to work on but I think the new responsive design is really awesome. Let me know what you think!

You may have noticed a post I made on Facebook a few weeks ago about working on a database for the warehouse well I am also working on a program which I have re-made about 3 times in the last 5 years. I’m happy to say that this version is the most advanced version I have ever made and it is taking me less time to do it. I am keeping the exact details of the program pretty hush but I will try to give you guys some inside looks at it from tie to time.

I’m also working on getting some apparel for the Extra Life event that we will be attending this year. Also we will be representing at this years Extra Life event! I am super stoked to support the local community through Extra Life and giving local gamers the resources they need to have a successful 24 hours. Cant wait to see everyone at the event this year!
