Change Log
It has been a little bit since my last blog post my friends. About two months and a day to be exact. There has not been a significant change since my last post unfortunately. The weather has been fairly nice and friends have been making sure I enjoy it. But as the days get shorter and the temperature gets colder it will be more tempting to sit at home, put on a movie and get some important things done. Since last blog post I made a few changes to the site that were bugging me. I’ll put the changes at the bottom.
I want to talk about you for a minute. You have been excited about this project since the beginning. You keep me motivated and love hearing your feedback. Even if the feedback is not positive the fact you cared enough to share it with me is awesome. That’s what you are, awesome, the gaming community at large are a very friendly group. Feeling good about yourself? Good!
It’s time for me to start looking at goals for the next year and evaluate goals of this year.
Some of these goals are things that I like to go back to and revisit so that I can make sure they are up to date. Something I did 3 years ago may not be applicable Today. To recap goals for this year was:
Better Logo: I spent some money and had a logo and few designs made.
Update site theme: It has been some while that the theme for the site has been updated. I wanted the code gone through and updated to meet current standards. It is not done yet but the current code is at least up to date.
Finish business plan: This one is difficult since by definition it is something that is supposed to change over time. I have been going over it with some people to get the wording right. It is presentable and has been presented a few times but I would like a few more edits before I say it’s the final draft. So this goal was not completed but hopefully by the end of the year it will be.
Package deals: I have always had the base services down that I wanted to offer but I am a big fan of packages. Things like what to offer all day passes for and what kind of discount to give for multiple hours purchased. I feel as though i can come up with a few more and polish up the ones I have now.
Polish Offerings: Kinda the same thing as package deals but just trying to make sure everything flows right. Pretty much done but I will always take a look back to see if I can make it better.
Crowdfunding: I have talked about this a lot in the blog and not wanting to solely rely on it. This is still true but it has always been in the cards and I have to start getting those ideas down. I still have some time before starting any type of crowdfunding but the more work done now the less that has to be done later.
Employee Handbook: This was a fun project and one that I feel version 1 is complete. I took ideas from many other handbooks that I could find including Steam. I wanted to create a document that was informing but also easy on the eyes. Its probably not perfect but I think its pretty good for now.
There has been a lot more work than that done but those were the big goals that I wanted to get done.
About next year.
I would like to start thinking a little bigger and get involved with more events for the upcoming year. Not just Senshicon but also some of the local tournaments and possibly host one or two. Right now though for certain there are things that I know need to get done.
- Site Update: I listed this before but this time the site needs to be mobile friendly now that the code is up to date.
- Swag: I want to get some swag so people can start showing their support for Warehouse 49. Things like hoodies, T-Shirts and stickers at first. Maybe more depending on popularity.
- Advertising: I want to do some more advertising to get the word out further about Warehouse 49. I have done some this year but I would like to step it up next year.
- Graphic Design: I need to come up with the layout for punch cards and Multipasses.

That’s what I have so far. As I get things done I will add more to the list but I do not want to overwhelm myself from the beginning.
